These songs came about in Boston in the winter of 2006, when Ezra Sykes decided to write songs for his nieces and nephews, and asked his friend David Brodie to help. They made a short album, gave them to family members back in Kansas, and thought that was the end of it.
As more and more people passed the songs to family and friends, the album began to take on a life of its own. Deciding that the popularity should be put to good use, Ezra decided to professionally manufacture the album and sell it to benefit the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (which will also enable him to participate in the Boston Marathon).
Please enjoy these songs! But we don't recommend taking them, or their makers (or life in general) too seriously.
